“I like Chinese food very much. Very attractive. We live not far from Chinatown in London.”(我很喜欢中国菜。
“There’re a lot of popular Chinese restaurants there.”(那里有很多非常有名的中餐馆。)
Florence点点头,“So is this one, the Happy House. I’ve heard of it when I was in London. When I moved here for study,I’m very pleased that I can get a very good part-time job here.(这家店也是,如意居。
“Thankfully, the money covers my living expense. I’m very satisfied with it.”(幸好,这里给的钱可以满足我的日常生活。
Florence的背挺得更直,下巴稍稍上扬,自豪地笑着说:“Now I can feed myself. I prefer to live on my own. My parents are very happy with it.”(现在我可以养活自己。
Florence没有因婧芝的夸赞而飘飘然,反而非常诚恳地说:“To be honest, we gave a concert in London this summer, and earned some, but it’s temporary. I need a regularly paid job. Only a good salary can prevent me from starving.(老实说,今年夏天我们开了演奏会,挣了些钱,但那只是暂时的。
琪儿终于按耐不住,把她刚才一直想说的话一吐为快:“I’ve been searching for a part-time job recently. I hope soon I may live independently as well, like you.”(我最近在找兼职工作。
